# Anti-Virus Exclusions for ControlUp Products

Add the directories/files in this article to your anti-virus software allow list. The allow list requirements are broken down by ControlUp products.

## ControlUp for VDI

### ControlUp Agent

For devices with the ControlUp Agent installed, allow the following directory:

```plaintext
C:\Program Files\Smart-X\
```

Alternatively, if you are unable to allow directories, allow the following executables.

```plaintext
C:\Program Files\Smart-X\ControlUpAgent\*\AppLoadTimeTracer.exe
C:\Program Files\Smart-X\ControlUpAgent\*\cuAgent.exe
C:\Program Files\Smart-X\ControlUpAgent\*\cuAgentHelper.exe
```

Alternatively, if you are unable to use wildcards, allow the full file path for the executables. Note that when you upgrade ControlUp versions, the file path changes and you will need to update your allow list.

```plaintext
C:\Program Files\Smart-X\ControlUpAgent\<Version###>\AppLoadTimeTracer.exe
C:\Program Files\Smart-X\ControlUpAgent\<Version###>\cuAgent.exe
C:\Program Files\Smart-X\ControlUpAgent\<Version###>\cuAgentHelper.exe
```

### ControlUp Agent Manager

For devices upgraded to version 9.0 and higher with the ControlUp Agent installed, allow the following directory:

```plaintext
C:\Program Files\Smart-X\ControlUpRealTimeAgentManager
```

Alternatively, if you are unable to allow directories, allow the following files:

```plaintext
C:\Program Files\Smart-X\ControlUpRealTimeAgentManager\cuAgentManager.exe
C:\Program Files\Smart-X\ControlUpRealTimeAgentManager\Uninstall.vbs
```

### ControlUp Monitor

For devices running the ControlUp Monitor, allow the following directory.

```plaintext
C:\Program Files\Smart-X\
```

Alternatively, if you are unable to allow directories, allow the following executable.

```plaintext
C:\Program Files\Smart-X\ControlUpMonitor\*\CuMonitor.exe
```

Alternatively, if you are unable to use wildcards, allow the full file path for the executable. Note that when you upgrade ControlUp versions, the file path changes and you will need to update your allow list.

```plaintext
C:\Program Files\Smart-X\ControlUpMonitor\<Version###>\CuMonitor.exe
```

### Real-Time DX Console

For hybrid cloud deployments, allow the following executable in the location where the Console is saved.

```plaintext
ControlUpConsole.exe
```

For on-premises deployments, allow the following executable on devices with the Real-Time Console installed.

```plaintext
C:\Program Files\Smart-X\ControlUp\ControlUpConsole.exe
```

### Remote Clients (formerly Remote DX)

Depending on which VDI platform you use, allow the following files on your client devices.

For Azure, allow:

```plaintext
C:\Program Files\ControlUp Remote DX - Microsoft\CUEPUX-Plugin.dll
```

For Citrix, allow:

```plaintext
C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\ICA Client\cuepux.dll
```

For Horizon, allow:

```plaintext
C:\Program Files\ControlUp Remote DX - VMware\cuepux.dll
```

### On-premises deployments

For on-premises deployments, allow the following directories/files in addition to the other allowlist requirements listed in this article.

For the COP server, allow:

```plaintext
C:\Program Files\ControlUp Inc\ControlUp Server\
```

For the ControlUp Server Installer, allow:

```plaintext
C:\Windows\System32\dsamain.exe PanelSW.InstallerJetBA.dll
```

## ControlUp for Desktops

Allow the following directories in your antivirus software (including next-gen security products such as Crowdstrike, Carbon Black, etc.):

```plaintext
C:\Program Files\Avacee\sip_agent\
C:\ProgramData\Avacee\sip_agent\scripts
C:\Program Files\ControlUp\AgentManager
C:\ProgramData\ControlUp\EdgeDx\UserSurveys
```

Alternatively, if you are unable to allow directories, allow the following executables:

```plaintext
C:\Program Files\Avacee\sip_agent\SIPAgent.exe
C:\Program Files\Avacee\sip_agent\RCNotifications.exe
C:\Program Files\Avacee\sip_agent\UserPrompt.exe
C:\Program Files\Avacee\sip_agent\WinFocusMonitor.exe
C:\Program Files\Avacee\sip_agent\Wow64MIHelper.exe
C:\Program Files\Avacee\sip_agent\Survey.exe
C:\Program Files\Avacee\sip_agent\SentimentUI.exe
C:\Program Files\Avacee\sip_agent\cu_rc.exe
C:\Program Files\Avacee\sip_agent\hookldr.exe
C:\Program Files\ControlUp\AgentManager\AgentManager.exe
```

## ControlUp for Applications

Allow the following in your antivirus software:

```plaintext
C:\Program Data\ControlUp\EdgeDX\Modules\appdx
C:\Program Files\ControlUp\Modules\appdx\AppDXhelper.exe
```

## ControlUp for Compliance

Allow the following in your antivirus software:

```plaintext
C:\ProgramData\ControlUp\CU4C
C:\Program Files\ControlUp\CU4C
```

## Synthetic Monitoring (formerly Scoutbees)

If you use Synthetic Monitoring, allow the following directory.

```plaintext
C:\Program Files\Scoutbees Custom Hive\
```
