# Can I install or remove software using the “Programs and Updates” controller?

You can't install or remove software under **Programs and Updates** in the Controllers panel in the Real-Time DX Console. However, you can run the install/uninstall command for any software on multiple machines in the console. From the **Machines** view, right-click a machine > **Processes** > **Run As**.

This method isn't suitable for installation or uninstallation types that require user intervention.
