# Discovered Apps Tracking

Discovered Apps gives you visibility into Shadow IT by showing usage data, such as visits and time spent, for applications that are not part of a monitored App Group. Use this information to decide whether to officially onboard or restrict specific applications.

To get full usage and performance metrics for discovered apps, add them to a monitored App Group.

### Prerequisites

To start tracking discovered apps, you must first enable global domain tracking:

1. Go to **Settings > Applications**
2. Select the **Advanced** tab.
3. Set **Collect usage data for all domains** to **Enabled**.

### Where to view data

The following widgets report discovered app usage:

- **Discovered Apps** (on the Overview and Details Page): Displays the total number of discovered apps used.
- **Discovered Apps by Employee Count** (on the Overview page): Displays which discovered apps are the most popular among your users. Click **View all** to see the full list of discovered apps.
