**Shell Scout** - We have removed the Exit Code graph widget, since exit codes are defined by the users, and have many variations.

**April 2025**

[**Web Transactions Scout**](https://support.controlup.com/docs/web-transaction-scout)**: Support for Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)**

You can now add a Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) step to Web Transaction scouts, enabling testing of websites and apps that require an extra layer of security.

This automatic step supports the following authentication methods: **SMS**, **Voice Call**, **TOTP Code**, and **Static PIN**.

You can configure the MFA step when creating or editing a Web Transaction scout.

**December 2024**

[**Web Transaction Scout**](https://support.controlup.com/docs/web-transaction-scout) - Added a new feature, **Switch Tab**. When the Scout opens a new tab during a transaction, this feature enables the scout to switch between the original tab and the last opened tab. Subsequent steps execute on the selected tab.

**August 2024**

**March 2024**

### Web Transactions Scout is now GA

Use the [Web Transactions Scout](https://support.controlup.com/docs/web-transaction-scout) to simulate real user workflows on a SaaS app (or any website). While performing a test, the Scout makes sure the website is working as expected and detects errors such as slow loading times. Configuring the Scout is now easier with the **Web Transactions Browser Extension**. Instead of copying element locators and configuring each step manually, you can use the browser extension to record your steps on a website interactively. During the beta period, we've made other improvements:

- Support for JS path - You can now use JS path element locators. This locator type should be used when the element is located under the shadow root.
- Test result screenshot navigation - The UI for viewing and navigating screenshots for test results is improved. You can click on the arrows to navigate between steps.
- Plus many other performance and reliability improvements.

**January 2024**

- [**Warning icon for outdated Custom Hives**](https://support.controlup.com/docs/upgrade-your-custom-hives) - In your list of Custom Hives, a warning icon now appears in the **Hive Version** column if a newer version is available.
- [**Import and export Scouts**](https://support.controlup.com/docs/export-and-import-scouts) - When editing a Scout, you can export the configuration to a JSON file. When creating a Scout, you can import the JSON file.
