The Computers view is a display of all the computers you have added to the console. This view is displayed automatically upon the console launch. Besides browsing, searching, grouping and sorting the data, this view allows you to perform a variety of actions on the selected computer(s).
These actions are available when selecting a computer or a group of computers. They can be invoked using either the Ribbon Bar “Actions” button, the context menu (right-click), or the Actions Panel.
Note: ControlUp will only show you actions which are relevant for all selected records. Thus, if one of the computers you selected is currently in Disconnected mode, you will only see actions applicable to disconnected computers. In addition, in case the Security Policy does not allow you to use some of the actions, they will be greyed out and disabled.

The information for these additional columns comes from the hypervisor, independent of the agent installed in the guest OS. This means that all VMs, regardless of whether or not the ControlUp agent is installed, will have these columns populated as long as the host is connected to the console.
The Stress Level Column
The purpose of the Stress Level column is to provide the administrator with a concise measure of current load on the resource, be it a computer, a user session or a process. Each performance column in ControlUp (e.g. CPU, Memory usage, Disk queue) has pre-configured ranges of values that influence the color in which the column will be displayed. These settings are customizable for every folder in your organization tree. For more information on customizing the Stress Level column calculation, please see the Stress Settings Pane chapter.
For an informative display (such as control room status screens), you might want to sort the current ControlUp view by the Stress level column. This way, the highly stressed resources will always appear on top of the table.
Investigating the Causes for Stress Level Values
When one of the resources in you information grid shows a certain Stress Level, you might want to investigate the reason for this value. If you click on a Stress Level cell for a particular resource, a small arrow button appears in the corner of the cell:
When clicked, this button invokes the Stress Level Details window, which shows the steps taken by ControlUp to calculate the current Stress Level value for the selected resource. For example:
In this case, you can see that the selected server has crossed three different thresholds configured on the Stress Settings Pane. Namely, when performance data was last sampled (at 12:02), the Memory Utilization counter was beyond its threshold of 80%. Also, the Minimum Free Space for the system drive fell below 200 MB. Each of these violations added 2 points to the Stress Level value, which results in a total Stress Level value of 6, which is considered Critical in the configuration used here.
Each line in the Stress Level Details Window includes a “Settings” link, which you can use to modify the thresholds and weights for every counter and condition. For more information on customizing the Stress Level column calculation, please see the Stress Settings page.
