    Article Summary

The following article walks you through the steps to install the Real-Time Console on your on-premises environment.

    Installation Files

Installation files for all on-premises components are provided by our support team. Contact us at support@controlup.com to retrieve the latest installation files.

    Prerequisites

Contact us at support@controlup.com to receive the latest installation files for all on-premises components.

    • You must meet the requirements here in order to install the console.
    • For ControlUp On-Premises (COP) 8.6.5 and all later versions, you must install the DigiCert Trusted G4 (RSA default) certificate on each machine that you install the console. If you have the latest Windows updates installed, this certificate should already be installed on your machine(s). You can download the certificate here.

    Installation

    1. Double-click the installation file that you received from our support team. The installation wizard opens.
    2. Click Next.

    Run the Real-Time Console

After you install the ControlUp Real-Time Console, you can run it.

    1. The Real-Time Console opens and shows the initialization screen.

    2. When you first run the console, you must define the address of the ControlUp Server. This can be either the host name or an IP address. If you use the failover feature, you provide the IPs or host names of the primary and secondary COP server. You must use comma-separated values.
    Host Name

If you install the Real-Time Console on the COP server, we recommend that you use the host name of the COP server. Don't use the loopback IP 127.0.0.1, it will cause issues in the ControlUp Monitor communication.

    1. Click Yes. The following popup appear when the mandatory certificate for the Console is not installed on the local machine.

    2. The ControlUp Real-Time Console opens in the organization that you defined in the on-premises server installation. Now you can start monitoring your resources.
