This article describes the Device Health Score dashboard in ControlUp ONE: where to find it, what each widget shows, and how to use filters to analyze your fleet.
Global Filters
At the top of the dashboard, global filters apply to all widgets and the investigation table. Use them to narrow the view by hardware vendor, OS, data confidence, or device model.
| Filter | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Hardware Vendor | Restrict to devices from a specific vendor (e.g. Dell, Lenovo, Apple). |
| OS Name | Restrict to a specific operating system or version. |
| Confidence Level | Show only devices with High, Medium, or Low confidence (or All). |
| Model | Restrict to a specific device model. |
Change a filter by opening its dropdown and choosing a value. Set any filter to All to include all devices for that dimension.
Dashboard Widgets
Global Health Score (Gauge)
A large circular gauge shows the fleet-wide health score (0.0–10.0), i.e. the weighted average of all device health scores in the current filter scope. Green indicates good fleet health; lower scores move toward yellow or red.
Top Issues (Bar Chart)
A horizontal bar chart shows the most common issues affecting devices and how many devices are impacted (e.g. Stability/Crash Events, OS EOL, Battery Health). Use it to prioritize remediation across the fleet.
Device Health Breakdown (Donut Chart)
A donut chart shows the distribution of devices by health band:
- Excellent
- Good
- Fair
- Poor
- Critical
- Incident (if applicable)
Use it to see at a glance how many devices are in each band.
OS Lifecycle Status (Donut Chart)
This chart shows the share of devices in each OS support status: Supported, Unknown, or End of Life. Use it to track OS compliance and upgrade planning.
Confidence Levels (Bar Chart)
A horizontal bar chart shows how many devices have High, Medium, or Low confidence. Low-confidence devices have insufficient data for a reliable sizing recommendation.
Sizing Recommendation Distribution (Donut Chart)
This chart shows how many devices are Appropriate, Undersized, or Insufficient data (and Oversized if present). Use it to see rightsizing opportunities and devices that need more data.
Investigation Table Filters
Below the widgets, additional filters apply only to the Device Health Investigation table. They do not change the widget data.
| Filter | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Top Issue | Show only devices with a specific top issue (e.g. None, Stability/Crash Events, OS EOL). |
| Sizing Recommendation | Show only Appropriate, Undersized, Insufficient data, or Oversized devices. |
| Device | Search by device name or choose from the device list. |
Use the search box in the Device filter to find a specific device by name.
Device Health Investigation Table
The table lists each device with detailed health and sizing information. Use it to drill into individual devices and take action.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Device Name | Device identifier (e.g. hostname, MacBook name). |
| Health Score | Device health score (0.0–10.0). |
| Top Issue | Primary issue affecting the device (e.g. Stability/Crash Events, High RAM Pressure, Battery Health, None). |
| Sizing Recommendation | Undersized, Appropriate, Oversized, or Insufficient data. |
| Sizing Reason | Short explanation (e.g. "Resource stress detected: Disk (16.0%)", "Resources meet demand", "Insufficient Data"). |
| CPU Avg, RAM Avg, Disk Avg, GPU Avg | Average utilization or activity during the analysis window. |
Sort by clicking a column header. Use pagination at the bottom to move through pages (e.g. Show 25 per page). The table reflects the current global filters and investigation table filters.
