How to integrate ControlUp with SCOM?

Many of our customers use SCOM to monitor the health and performance of everything in their environment from servers to individual applications in Microsoft Windows environments.

This article describes how to configure ControlUp to write an event that SCOM can capture and generate email alerts for. 

• Create an Incident Trigger with a followup action type "Record an event in Application Log".
  
• The events will be written to the Application event log on the machine that the monitor is installed on.
• Once the events are created, configure SCOM to monitor\capture the events.

Currently, the event ID number that will be set is random and will be set on the first time that the trigger will fire.
