This article explains the lifecycle phases for ControlUp product software versions, and our support and update policies.
We strongly recommend you always use the latest ControlUp product version to ensure optimal performance, security, and full support.
Version Phases
The lifecycle of ControlUp versions includes the following phases:
- General Availability (GA): Latest stable version with complete feature updates, bug fixes, and support.
- End of Maintenance (EOM): Security updates only, no regular bug fixes.
- End of Support (EOS): No technical support or updates available (18 months after the next version's GA date).

Version Lifecycle Support Policy
At ControlUp, we are committed to supporting our customers who have purchased our software. This policy explains how we address any issues you might encounter across different software versions. Our support efforts involve troubleshooting through configuration guidance, delivering software updates, and, when necessary, implementing software changes. Note that the most effective resolution is sometimes available in a more recent version of ControlUp.

- For ControlUp Customers Only: This support policy is specifically for customers who have purchased ControlUp software directly from us. It doesn’t apply to any third-party individuals or organizations.
- ControlUp Products Only: This policy covers the lifecycle of ControlUp software and doesn’t extend to any third-party software or hardware that may be used with ControlUp.
- Policy Updates: To ensure we can continue to provide the best possible support, ControlUp may update this policy as needed. These changes can apply to all or specific software versions and may occur without prior notice. We recommend checking this document periodically for the latest information.
