Getting Started with UC&C

Use the UC&C - Unified Communications & Collaboration module to view information about your end-users' use of unified communications and collaboration (UC&C or UCC) platforms, such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

UC&C data collection

The Unified Communications & Collaboration module collects data from two sources:

  1.  The API of the UC&C platform you are using (e.g, Microsoft Teams, Zoom).
  2.  The Edge DX agent installed on your device.

Setup for using UC&C

To use UC&C, first perform the following setup and configuration:

  1.  Set up your device.
  2.  Configure the UC&C platform you are using (e.g, Microsoft Teams, Zoom).
  3.  Configure settings in Edge DX.

Set up your device 

The UC&C module for Edge DX is currently supported for Windows devices only. Support for Mac devices is coming soon! 

The Edge DX agent installed on your Windows device can collect minute-by-minute data about UC&C connections and performance.

To collect UC&C data using the Edge DX Windows agent, download/ upgrade your Edge DX Windows agent to version 2.11 (GA).

Configure your UC&C platform and settings in Edge DX

Refer to the following for instructions on configuring the UC&C platform you are using, and settings in Edge DX:

Access and explore UC&C data in Edge DX

Access the UC&C module in Edge DX via the main navigation.

Under Dashboards > Unified Communications & Collaboration, click the dashboard for the UC&C platform you are using.

If you do not see the Unified Communications & Collaboration dashboard, contact Edge DX support to get your access to UC&C enabled.
