Cannot connect to Azure subscription: Customer does not have the privilege to see the cost
If a your Azure environment is managed by an MSP participating in a CSP agreement with Microsoft, then cost information will never be passed down to the Subscription tier and thus we are unable to represent it.
Connecting to the Azure subscription in Real-Time DX fails with the following error:
Customer does not have the privilege to see the cost
You can apply a workaround by setting a registry key and value on the data collector.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Smart-X\ControlUp\Agent\Azure Data Collection
You will need to restart ControlUp after this change.
Please note that this workaround disables cost data collection. All cost metrics display as N/A when you use this workaround.
Version 8.8 will include a fix for this issue
