Track Agent Versions Deployed in Your Organization

This article shows you how to track which Agent versions are deployed in your environment. Keeping your Agents updated is important for performance, stability, and access to the latest features.

Agent Versions report
The Agent Versions report shows you which Agent versions are deployed in your environment, and lifecycle status information.
To access the report, go to ControlUp for Desktops > Reports > Agent Versions.
The report contains the following information:
Device per version status - Shows the number of devices with each Agent version status category.
- Latest GA - The latest generally available (GA) Agent version.
- In Support - Versions that are not the latest GA version, but are still in support.
- End of Support - Versions that are no longer supported. Beta versions are counted under this category.
- Special Builds - Versions that are provided only to specific customers, and are not part of the normal release cycle.
Windows Versions - Shows the number of Windows devices running each version.
macOS Versions - Shows the number of macOS devices running each version.
Table column descriptions:
- Device name: The name of the device
- Agent version: The version running on the device
- Agent release type: The type of release (for example, GA, special build, beta)
- In Support: Whether the version on the device is currently supported by ControlUp. Read ControlUp for Desktops Agent Version Lifecycle for details.
- End of maintenance: For devices running versions no longer maintained, this shows when the version went out of maintenance. Read ControlUp for Desktops Agent Version Lifecycle for details.
- End of support: For devices running versions no longer in support, this shows when the version went out of support. Read ControlUp for Desktops Agent Version Lifecycle for details.
- Last Logged On User: The last user logged on to the device
- Group: The devices group
- Tags: The devices tags
- OS: The device's OS platform
- OS Name: The device's OS version.
- Agent Build: The build number of the device's Agent.
See outdated Agents in your version control settings
You can also see information about outdated Agent versions in the Version Control settings page. If you have a version deployment rule based on an EOM or EOS Agent, then the deployment rule shows you the number of devices targeted by the rule, and the EOM/EOS dates for the Agent version.
