    If you don’t want to use the new agent outbound communication feature, you can revert to the inbound communication over port 40705 for either all the ControlUp Agents in your organization, or for specific agents.

    To revert to agent inbound communication globally using the Real-Time Console:
    1. Click Settings > Agent and clear the Enable Outbound Agent Communication checkbox:

    1. Restart your ControlUp Monitor cluster to implement the reversion.

    To revert back to agent outbound communication globally, select the Enable Outbound Agent Communication checkbox and restart your Monitor cluster to implement the revert.

    To revert to agent inbound communication manually, use the following registry settings per agent:
    Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Smart-X\ControlUp\Agent\Communication
    Value: Outbound
    Data Type: REG_DWORD
    Value Data: 0, False

    Note that the global setting in the console takes precedence. You can’t enable outbound agent communication by setting Outbound = 1 if your global setting is set to inbound agent communication.
