2.4.2.27 (Windows)

New Features

Custom internet latency target: Previously, client device internet latency was tested using Google’s DNS servers (8.8.8.8). Now, you can customize the IP or DNS target for testing internet latency when installing the Remote DX plugin.

Known Issue: In the graphic showing a client device’s connection details, the internet latency label always shows “Google 8.8.8.8”, even if you have set a custom internet latency target. The latency data correctly uses your specified target, but the label does not show your specified target. We are working to fix this issue in an upcoming Real-Time DX version.

Bug Fixes

  • 190749: Installation fails with error code 1603.

  • 209155: Unable to install plugin for user context from Microsoft Intune.

  • 200815: Fixed typos in the installation wizard.

  • 190744: Fixed Remote DX plugin communication with the Edge DX Agent.

2.3.2404.24 (macOS)

New Features

  • When installing the Remote DX plugin, you can now choose whether you want to collect the following private metrics (in previous versions, these metrics were always collected):

    • Client device's inactive time

    • Name of the client device's internet service provider

    • Geographical location of the client device based on the device's public IP address.

    • SSID name of the client device's wireless network.

Fixes

  • When a client device switched from a wireless connection to a wired connection, data from the wireless connection was still being displayed.

  • WiFi information was not being collected for macOS 14.

2.3.2402 (eLux)

Remote DX now supports eLux client monitoring while connected to Citrix virtual environments. For installation details, click here.

2.4.1.2 (Windows)

Note: From this version onwards, the EXE installer is deprecated. The MSI is now the only option available.

New Features

  • (For Citrix plugin only) Supports Microsoft Teams monitoring for calls offloaded to the endpoint using Citrix Microsoft Teams Optimization. Note that this is available only for Edge DX managed machines.

  • (For Citrix plugin only) Supports the upcoming "Employees" feature for Edge DX managed machines.

Fixes

  • The EULA link in the installer was not clickable.

  • Old plugin versions are now automatically uninstalled when you install a new version.

  • The installer used to let you change the Citrix installation directory. This should not be changed from the default so the option to set the directory is now removed.

  • Updated the information displayed in the MSI installer properties.

2.4.0.43 (Windows)

New Features

  • You can now install Remote DX on Windows devices using an MSI. The MSI installer is available on the Download Center. For details on how to use the MSI installer, read the documentation.

Known Issues

  • Uninstalling the Remote DX Citrix plugin fails if there are any open RDP sessions. To uninstall the Remote DX Citrix plugin, you must first close all RDP sessions.

  • If you currently have the EXE version of the plugin installed,  you must uninstall it before you install the MSI version.
