New report available only in version 9.2 Beta

The following section describes a new data pipeline report only available in ControlUp for VDI version 9.2 beta. To try it, join our beta program.

The Published App Statistics report provides comprehensive insights into the most frequently Citrix published applications on the monitored machines in your organization. It shows real-time usage patterns, performance metrics, and health indicators to help you optimize user experience and resource allocation.

Use the report to answer questions such as:

  • What is the most used Citrix application in my organization?

  • Which Citrix applications consume the most resources?

  • How can I best allocate my resources to optimize users’ experience for Citrix applications?

Report Functionality

The report provides selectors for Average, P95, and P99 values, enabling you to analyze latency and load characteristics for each application. This helps identify potential bottlenecks on your Citrix hosts, understand how user sessions and machines are affected, and perform deeper metric drilldowns.

The report provides the following functionalities:

  • You can display data for a specific app. By default, the report displays usage details for all apps in your organization.

  • Select delivery groups for the selected apps as needed. By default, the report displays usage details for all delivery groups in your organization.

  • Select to display the metrics as:

    • Average. Average of metrics total during the selected time range.

    • 95th percentile. Metrics total that was exceeded only 5% of the time.

    • 99th percentile. Metrics total that was exceeded only 1% of the time.

  • For the selected timeframe, the report lists all Citrix published app instances launched through your connected Citrix Cloud and CVAD connectors, along with their performance metrics. By default, the selected time range is the previous 24 hours.

  • You can click selected metrics in the grid to open the top consumers view. This view enables you to isolate heavy resource users.

Column Descriptions

The Published App Statistics report contains the following columns. You can click selected metrics to display the top 5 machines or top 5 sessions in the top consumers view. Click any machine name to display the details of the selected machine in the Machine Trends report. Click any session name to display the details of the selected session in the Session Activity report.
